A pre-market checklist is not a forecast. It is a way to decide what you will pay attention to before speed and noise make every move feel important.
Five useful prompts
- What scheduled events could change volatility?
- What levels or conditions matter to my setup?
- What would invalidate the idea?
- What is my maximum risk for the session?
- What would make today a no-trade day?
Write answers in plain language. The checklist should be short enough to use every day. If your decisions become emotional after the open, compare the plan with the actual trade in a post-market review.
Prepared does not mean certain. It means you have a response before pressure arrives.
